The Ark of Memory
A Serialized Science Fiction Story by Mail
A world lost. A history uncovered. A story delivered to your mailbox.
Twice a month, receive a new installment of an original post-apocalyptic novel, accompanied by collectible artifacts, illustrations, and fragments of a civilization trying to document itself before all is lost.
A Story You Can Hold
Civilization has collapsed. Generations later, the people who survived have stories to tell.
Rather than reading the entire novel at once, you'll discover it piece by piece. Twice a month, another envelope arrives, carrying the next chapter and artifacts from the world of the story.
The Ark of Memory reconstructs the history of a fallen world through interviews, personal accounts, and the memories of those who lived through its aftermath. Their stories reveal a world shaped by survival, power, violence, and the stubborn persistence of hope.
This is science fiction meant to be experienced slowly, one envelope at a time.
Follow the journey, collect the documents, and watch the larger history emerge.

Inside Each Mailing
Every envelope brings another piece of the story:
- The next chapter: A printed installment of the novel.
- An archive card: A collectible item documenting something from the fictional world.
- A map: Follow the story as it moves into new territories.
- An illustrated keepsake: An art print, bookmark, or other collectible piece.
Together, the installments form a physical archive of the novel—a story you can collect, revisit, and keep.
About the Author
I'm Kimiko Rye, a speculative fiction writer who loves experimenting with the ways stories are told.
The Ark of Memory began as a serialized novel intended for online publication. But I kept tinkering. Chapters became interviews, interviews became a combination of testimony and prose, and eventually I began illustrating the world I'd created.
At some point, I realized I didn't just want readers to encounter this story on a screen. I wanted them to hold it, collect it, and experience its unfolding history through physical objects.
So I have decided to send it through the mail.
